I really like spending time outside in nature. I have been inside most of the day at school, so it is really nice to go outside and get some fresh air. There are times when I go outside right after I finish my homework and my extracurriculars, but there are also times when I go outside on the weekends, when I have more free time. Being outside makes me feel more active and happy at the same time.
One of the things I like to do outside is ride my bike down different streets around my neighborhood to see what is around me. There are times when I have friends accompany me while I am riding my bike. We might even try to race each other for fun. I really like riding my bike because I am able to get exercise without realizing I am doing it and have fun while doing it.
Another thing that I enjoy doing when I’m outside is going to the park with my friends after school or on the weekends. At the park, my friends and I decide to either play basketball, walk around, run and play games, or simply sit and talk. There is a lot more space to move around when you’re outside a house. It’s always more fun when you’re outside with friends instead of staying inside and staring at a phone.
When I’m outside, I also begin to notice things in nature that I would not normally pay much attention to. There are tall trees that sway when the wind blows. Sometimes you can hear a sound when the wind blows through them. In the spring, there are flowers that grow in different colors such as yellow, purple, and pink. They make everything look more colorful and alive, which is really nice to see.
I also see a lot of animals when I’m outside. Birds fly from tree to tree and sometimes land on fences and rooftops. Squirrels run very fast across the grass and climb trees very quickly. Sometimes I also see a butterfly flying near a flower, and I once saw a butterfly land on a flower when I was walking at the park. It stayed there for a few seconds before it flew away. Things like that make being outside more interesting.
Another reason I enjoy going outside is because it helps clear my mind. Sometimes I have a long day at school, and I’m stressed because I have a lot of homework to do. Going outside for a while makes me feel better, and just walking around my neighborhood helps clear my mind.
Overall, spending time outside in nature and being with friends at the park is something I really enjoy. Whether I am riding my bike, going to the park, or just walking outside, it usually puts me in a better mood and helps me feel calm. Spending time in nature helps people stay healthy, enjoy fresh air, and take a break from everyday life.
